There's probably a template for your trade now

I’ve spent the last couple of weeks doing the unglamorous thing: filling in the gaps.

Quotify’s template library has grown a fair bit. There are now over fifty ready-made quote forms, and the point of the exercise was simple. Whatever you do, you should be able to start from something that already works, not a blank form and a shrug.

What’s new

Quite a lot. A quick tour of where the gaps got filled:

  • Trades: boiler installs, locksmiths, pest control, plasterers, tree surgery, driveway and patio paving, pressure washing, and a proper handyman form for the “I just need a few jobs done” crowd.
  • Energy: a whole new category. Solar and EV chargers, boiler replacements and heat pumps, so the high-ticket, estimate-first work has a home.
  • Professional services: also new. Bookkeeping, virtual assistants, conveyancing and architects, because Quotify was never only for physical jobs, and now the library says so.
  • Events, pets, lessons and more: videographers, wedding planners, cake makers, dog grooming and training, driving and music lessons, car detailing, nutrition coaching.

If your exact trade isn’t on that list, odds are it’s next to one that is, and a template built for a neighbouring job is a five-minute edit away from being yours.

Not just more of the same

A good chunk of the new templates were built to show off percentage pricing too. The locksmith form adds a 24/7 emergency rate, pest control and carpet cleaning add a same-day surcharge, and the wedding and cake forms lift the price for a peak Saturday or a rush order, all as a percentage, worked out automatically. Several also capture the date up front, the event, the shoot, the booking, so the enquiry arrives with the when as well as the what.

The point was never the count. It’s that the starting line is now closer for more people.

How a template actually works

Every one is a real, working Quotify form, not a screenshot or a PDF. Open it, see exactly what’s inside, and start your own copy. Then make it yours: swap in your prices, tweak the questions, add or drop options. Most people are live in a few minutes, which is the entire idea.

Nobody wants to build a quote form from scratch. So don’t.

Have a browse

Pick the closest fit and go from there. And if the perfect one for your trade isn’t there yet, start from the nearest neighbour, or tell me what’s missing and I’ll probably build it.
